If you try to double-click a download and nothing happens, check the settings in the General tab of Preferences. If "Place temporary files" is set to "out of sight," then the double-click action is ignored. Change it to "where the resulting files will be located" and the double-click will work. This behavior is intentional, as we felt that if someone wanted the temporary files out of sight, they wanted them out of sight.
