What's new in Displaperture?

Displaperture 3.0

September 11, 2026

New Features

• Displaperture can now draw its rounded corners behind your windows if the menu bar is transparent, or if its top corners are disabled. This makes Displaperture work better with full screen windows.

Bug Fixes and Improvements

• Worked around what seems like a bug in macOS 27's Siri app, which resulted in Displaperture's settings being shown a lot more often than intended. As a side effect of this workaround, Displaperture's settings will now literally take a second to appear on macOS 27 when you request them by reopening Displaperture while it's already running. (Hat tip to liAAAAAAm on Discord.)
• Improved compatibility with notched MacBook displays.
• Updated user interface.

• Added continuous rounding (a.k.a. "squircle") as a corner shape option. Note, though, that it's almost impossible to tell the difference for smaller radii.

• Displaperture is now a universal app, built for both Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
• Displaperture no longer covers the entire display with an invisible window. This improves compatibility with system security mechanisms that affect things like enabling Safari extensions.
