Frequently Asked Question

Can I hide the witchdaemon process in my login items?
Last Updated 7 years ago

Witch works its magic with a background process that we name witchdaemon. If you give Witch permission to run in the background (App Store version 3.x), or simply have it enabled (direct purchase version 3.x, 4.x), this witchdaemon process is added to your user's login items. In the Accounts System Preferences panel, you can see all your login items–and check a box to hide them during startup.

Don't check that box for witchdaemon. If you do, Witch won't run properly until you restart it (Witch, not your Mac). Since the witchdaemon process is already invisible, there's no reason to hide it.
